Morocco’s Casablanca International Airport receives airlines from many world destinations and it is the country’s premier airport. Located in Province of Nouaceur, a suburb 30 kilometers south-east of Casablanca, it is the busiest airport in Morocco with over 6.2 million passengers passing through the airport in 2008. The airport’s name is Mohammed V International Airport. The airport is probably the best known and most commonly used international airport in Morocco. Named in honor of King Mohammed V, this is an extremely busy airport that saw over 5 million passengers in 2006. From the centre of Casablanca, take the motorway towards Settat. From northeast Casablanca, take the highway towards Marrakesh. Car rental is also available at Casablanca airport; passengers can choose among numerous different types of vehicles for their trip. There is a shopping centre in Departures and are various duty-free shops in Arrivals and Departures. Inside the airport you will find also bars, restaurants, currency exchange facilities and ATMs. Telephones can be found throughout the airport, and Internet access is available. An ambulance and first aid facilities are also available. There is a pharmacy on the first floor. The airport is signposted. There is a long-/short-term car park with 1,600 spaces outside Departures and a long-/short-term car park with 880 spaces outside Arrivals. Taxis are available outside Arrivals. The airport is the hub of Morocco's flag carrier Royal Air Maroc, Jet4you, Air Arabia Maroc and Regional Air Lines. The airport is twinned with the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Yaser Arafat International Airport.
